Happy New Year crafty peeps!
I hope your holiday season was a joyous one!
I had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I enjoyed spending both holidays with the people I love most. Christmas at my sisters, and New years camping with friends.
I apologize for not posting over the last few months. The wonderful Christmas season is known as Peak Season at work. And boy, was it a busy season! I am one of Santas little elves after all. ;)
Anyways, I'm back and I have a bunch of stuff to share! I've also got a bunch more in the works.
My darling husband, got me an awesome new felting machine and luminere textile paints for Christmas! He also got me 2 new books, Create your own Free form Quilts and Fabric Manipulation. (last year, I got The Ultimate Guide to Art Quilting). Oh that man knows the the way to my heart! I think I'll keep him. :)
(look at all this fun paint!)
I'm over the moon for all my new toys and books! I am working on scheduling many projects and planning all the new techniques I want to try. From free motion quilting to fabric dying, felting to appliqué, painting to embroidery, and everything in between.
These are all things I have been putting off learning or even trying. I have come to the realization that I am the only one holding myself back. The fear of failure will not hold me back any longer. I will practice my craft and keep learning. I will force myself to try new things and not stress about the outcome. I will enjoy the process and hopefully make some pretty cool projects.
I have so many ideas and now I have all the tools I need to learn how to do them. I can do this. I will do this. And I'll continue to share my progress. Hopefully more good then bad. :)
