Jacob's Quilt

This is a quilt I made for my son. It is also the second quilt I made, not  including rag quilts.
I started with a batik jelly roll and made strip sets. Cut them diagonally and framed with black borders. Added the reddish batik fabric to two sides to make it a bit wider. I love the pop of color from these fabrics. My son loves it too.
I had intended for this to be my first go at free motion quilting, but I was having issues with my machine, so I just did a straight stitch in the ditch. Found out later the problem with my machine was user error. hahaha. Yep. I just had the wrong setting for the foot I was trying to use. Ahhh.. it's always the simple things.
