I just finished this rustic diaper cake for a friend who is about to be a grandmother for the first time. She is throwing her daughter a cowboy themed baby shower. I would have never thought to put cowboys and baby showers together, but it sure did get my creative juices flowing. She is using bandannas as part of the decorations for the shower. That's when the light bulb went on...I could use the bandannas instead of ribbon! I loved the idea of making a diaper cake using torn bandannas! This is also one of the simplest diaper cakes I have made, without a lot of extra baby items. All the extra stuff just didn't work with the theme. This is one of those cases where, less really is more.Ingredients:
54 diapers
5 onsies
4 wash clothes
3 teething rings
burlap
bandannas
